Contrary to the local trend: while the German economy in general did not manage to keep up with the robust, dynamic upswing of the world economy in 2005, GKD – Gebr. Kufferath AG certainly did. The turnover of 58.5 million Euro achieved in 2005, 10.3 percent up compared to the previous year, was far above what the board had prognosed for 2005. Over-average growth was booked in the USA and in England, but the main contribution to the positive figures – to the tune of 39.5 million Euro – was generated by the parent company in Düren, Germany, where 382 of the company’s worldwide staff of 533 work.
